Meghan McCain: Simpering Moron Child of Famous Family
Meghan McCain was blessed by birth -- she was born into a rich family, the daughter of a United States Senator/ex-presidential candidate. She was not, apparently, blessed by genetics, because she is one of the dumbest human beings walking the earth (and she didn't get her mom's good looks, either). The media adores her because she is a disgrace to her father; she adores herself because she's able to get attention by flaunting her boobs and her liberalism. She's like one of the simpering moron children of an old-style British lord -- she'll get marriage proposals simply by existing, but aside from her name, there's not much to her credit.

She's at it again, this time ripping the Tea Party movement as racist. Commenting on Tom Tancredo's comments that "People who would not even spell the word vote or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House... named Barack Hussein Obama," McCain said:
"It's innate racism, and I think it's why young people are turned off by this movement," McCain retorted on The View. "I'm sorry, but revolutions start with young people, not 65 year old people talking about literacy tests and people who can't say the word 'vote' in English," McCain added.... McCain added that the rhetoric coming from the Tea Party movement and from Republicans like Palin "will continue to turn off young voters, and anybody who says different is smoking something."
Three points here. First, anyone who thinks Meghan McCain has her finger on the pulse of young people is smoking something. She, after all, was a supporter of her father, and she switched her party affiliation to Republican "as a symbol of my commitment to my dad and to represent the faith I have in his ability to be an effective leader for our country and to grow and strengthen the Republican party when he is elected President of the United States."
Second, she isn't a real Republican, she's a family Republican. If she switched her registration, presumably she was a registered Democrat before the 2008 campaign. Claling her a "voice" in the conservative movement would be akin to calling me a "voice" in the Green Party.
Third, the Tea Party movement is hardly a movement of old people. They're now an important part of our political landscape precisely because they cross-cut age, race, and sex. She wouldn't know that, because she lives in an LA-bubble of liberals who pat her on the head and tell her what a good little girl she is for undermining her dad's supposed principles.
But then again, McCain isn't really about intelligent commentary -- she's about attention. She's the Paris Hilton of politics, a non-entity who exploits her family to raise her profile. The media demonstrates its own massive bias by giving her any legitimacy at all.
